Michael is probably best known for his role as one of the original designers of Apple’s Emmy Award-winning film editing software Final Cut Pro.
Considered one of the world’s leading experts on digital filmmaking technology, Michael has been invited to speak at conferences and film festivals worldwide including the Sundance Film Festival, South by Southwest, Cinequest, NAB, IBC, DV Expo, Interbee Japan, Macworld Paris, and many others.
Michael has taught courses or seminars at many universities including The American Film Institute, USC, New York Film Academy, and he served as a lecturer for 5 years at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film & Television, teaching film production and editing.
